EUPHORIA ARTIST & YOGA TEACHER
Jane House
Devoted to the life-affirming process of yoga, Jane’s teaching is a rich integration of the classical teachings and disciplines of Hatha Yoga with a more creative exploration of one’s relationship to Self. Jane’s extensive background in body-oriented therapy and classical Hatha Yoga merge to offer a holistic approach to practice that facilitates health and wholeness on all levels of being.
“To be here now, is not to strengthen the witnessing meditation muscle- it’s to become the body as a fluid and integrated experience of self. The portal of the broadest experience of reality is not the mind- it’s the body.”
-Jeff Brown

In Jane’s Words
Background & Influences
I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute where I completed my thesis titled ‘The Yoga of Embodiment.’ In 2001, I founded The Yoga Loft in San Francisco, CA- a school for movement arts that became my home for teaching and learning for nearly a decade. For twenty years, I have studied with master teachers Angela Farmer, Tony Briggs & Sofia Diaz.
On the Mat
I’ve unfolded my own practice that works to serve body, mind & soul– a gentle, self-guided approach to movement and breath that aims to wake up the body’s most intuitive and self-healing processes. I continue working to empower individuals and communities toward healing, embodiment, laughter, and play.
Off the Mat
I currently reside in Connecticut with my husband Griffin and our two daughters, Emma and Clara. I love being barefoot and think that laughter, which requires being known, is the fountain of youth.
